Nieuwe Prometheus-foto onthult Space Jockey

Onderstaande nieuwe foto van Prometheus laat net als een flink aantal andere foto's uit de film een actrice die naar iets buiten het scherm staart zien. Maar belangrijker zijn de twee dingen op de achtergrond, daar staan namelijk Space Jockeys die we eerder in Ridley Scott's Alien zagen. Eerder al vertelde Scott ons dat de film zeker Alien-DNA zou bevatten en deze foto bewijst die stelling.

Tijdens een vroeg interview over de film refereerde Scott al naar de Space Jockeys: "Therefore, who is that, inside that [Space Jockey] suit? That wasn’t a skeleton, that was a suit. And if you open up the suit, what do you get inside it? And why were they going, where were they going?"

De foto werd onthuld tijdens een interview met producent Damon Lindelof, die het volgende te zeggen had. "The movie is definitely epic in its scope. One of the filmmakers that we ended up talking about to a fair degree of redundancy was David Lean, who directed Lawrence of Arabia. We wanted to make the movie feel big by having the characters be small in big spaces. That connected to the larger themes we were talking about — that we’re all just these little gnats crawling around on our little planet."
