Michael Keaton dolenthousiast over Beetlejuice 2
Het laatste dat we hoorden over de Beetlejuice sequel was dat regisseur Tim Burton er zeker voor open staat en dat hij momenteel wacht op scenarist Seth Grahame-Smith. Hoewel laatstgenoemde het scenario nog niet geschreven heeft, zegt hij wel te hebben gesproken met hoofdrolspeler Michael Keaton. De acteur zou er enorm veel zin in hebben. Grahame-Smith zei het volgende:
"I met with Michael last week and his excitement level is huge. We talked for a couple of hours about big-picture stuff. He's been wanting to do it for twenty years and he'll talk to anybody about it who will listen!"
Grahame-Smith is er zeker van dat Beetlejuice 2 er gaat komen. Daarbij geeft hij aan dat het zal gebeuren met groot respect voor het origineel.
"It's a priority for Warners and it's a priority for Tim. I have a huge reverence for Tim and a huge reverence for that film in general. I don't think we should do it if we shit on the legacy. Michael agrees. So, right now, it remains to be seen. I have a couple of story ideas, but we're very early out."
