Alweer een hoofdprijs voor the artist

The Artist is de grote winnaar geworden bij de uitreiking van de Critics Choice Awards gisterenavond. De film van Franse regisseur Michel Hazanavicius werd bekroond als beste film en won ook de prijs voor beste regisseur.

George Clooney was volgens de Amerikaanse recensenten de beste acteur voor zijn rol in The Descendants terwijl Viola Davis tot beste actrice werd gekroond voor haar rol in The Help.

De Critics Choice Awards zijn een belangrijke graadmeter voor de Oscars, die 26 februari worden uitgereikt. De hoofdprijs werd vorig jaar gewonnen door The Social Network.
